Commerce is one of the most important factors in maintaining positive relations between nations, even during times of serious political disagreement and tension. United States and Russian corporations have numerous major ongoing commercial investments and joint ventures, which have a strong influence on the governments' foreign policy toward the other. It is not the role of the RCC/FRCC to arrange individual commercial transactions, but to support mutual commerce between the two countries as an important vehicle to peace.
